Behind the Scenes of a Wedding at La Venue near Mossel Bay
On Saturday the 12th of March 2011, I had the opportunity to get a day behind the scenes of a wedding at La Venue Unforgettable Functions in Aalwyndal only minutes’ drive from Mossel Bay in the scenic Garden Route.
I arrived at La Venue at 14h00 not really knowing what to expect but soon got firsthand experience of what wedding planning at La venue entails. It became clear to me that the team at La Venue must surely all be fairytale characters, each with their very own special magic wand and set of fairy wings!
After watching and sometimes lending a hand to make sure all the preparations and slightest detail of the wedding was in place, guests started to arrive to witness in the marriage of Derick Payne and Petro Joubert, soon to be Petro Payne.
Friends, family and an extremely excited groom started to get seated in the outdoor wedding area, complete with wedding gazebo, seating with white draping’s, candle lights down the aisle, butterflies and hearts all adding to the perfection on the Payne’s wedding day. Everywhere laughter and happiness echoed in the area at this beautiful venue in Mossel Bay!
The La Venue Fairies were there to twirl their magic wands wherever someone needed assistance, whether it was with the music, the catering or just general preparations and arrangements.
A few minutes later we could see the wedding car with the bride approaching the venue and guests started to sit on the edge of their chair in excitement to see the bride on her big day! Before the wedding car stopped at the venue the La Venue Fairies was already there to stand by making sure everyone know their part in making this the special day it deserves to be!
The bride looked spectacular and the photographer starts capturing the special day for the bridal couple.
The wedding marsh began to echo on the grounds of La Venue and the bride walked down the aisle with her father, surrounded by smiles of friends and family. At the end of the aisle a very proud and excited groom stood in front of a white outdoor gazebo with candle lights, a flower arrangement with a pallet of reds, yellows and oranges to compliment the bride’s choice of a natural theme and bridesmaids and groomsmen dressed in a bright and romantic brown.
After a beautiful ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Payne were announced! Meanwhile the La Venue Fairies were already busy in the venue making sure the smallest of small details were in place to ensure that every request and more is fulfilled.
The venue was perfectly draped in white adding to the romantic feeling they wanted to create. The tables set in green and brown colours with a fairytale pretty center piece. The venue offers its very own music equipment and sound room and guests to the wedding would soon be enchanted with the sounds of Lance James and Min Shaw.
The wedding was spectacular and a job well done to the La Venue Fairies! May Mr. and Mrs. Payne live happily ever after!
