Conferences and Events Websites
<p>My prime objective when preparing a Conferences and Events Website will be speed and user-friendly interaction. When a customer needs Conference Management Services he firstly has to find what he is looking for fast, then like what he sees and lastly be able to get through and book fast. This means the conferencing website has to be well positioned on Google Top 10 &#8211; from a content point of view and, increasingly, as an image. And it has to be reachable via the mobile web.</p>

Conference Management Services
<p>Clients should be &#8216;king&#8217; in an absolute sense when it comes to Conference Management Services &#8211; that&#8217;s what will make the success of one&#8217;s conferencing and event management business.</p>
<p>Customers need to be able to fully focus on their objectives to achieve maximum results and productivity. This means preparing workshops, presentations, speeches, educational and media material etc etc &#8230; and a lot of their energy will go into attuning to all the different personalities and characters attending the event, the questions coming up and the discussions to be held.</p>
<p>Once the operation budget has been agreed, the Conference Manager is expected to deliver professional services in terms of:</p>
<p>&gt; Planning the Conference or Meeting (dates, format, committee meetings..);</p>
<p>&gt; Arrangements for locations, eg. hotel bookings, conference venues, lodging including all requirements;</p>
<p>&gt; Liaison between client and speakers and presenters including preparational gettogethers;</p>
<p>&gt; Promotion and advertising, materials for print, press and online event websites (if requested);</p>
<p>&gt; Registration procedure &#8211; taking care of all communication and payments, prepare name badges etc;</p>
<p>&gt; Facility management &#8211; function room setups, electronic setup and equipment, additional staff and operators etc;</p>
<p>&gt; Coordinate food and beverages incl. special menus, recreational and team building activities;</p>
<p>&gt; Clear signs to the conference venue, info packs, continuous liaison for all requests and contingencies;</p>
<p>&gt; Clear check-in and check-out procedures;</p>
<p>&gt; VIP lounge and services on request;</p>
<p>&gt; Accommodation and partner program (eg. sightseeing) if spouse accompanies.</p>
<p>&gt; Follow-up: review and approve invoices for payment, provide meeting summary and financial report;</p>
<p>&gt; Gratuities to staff, &#8216;thank you&#8217; messages to presenters and attendees</p>
<p>&gt; and much more&#8230;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>This is just a quick list from my head having attended, talked at and organized many conferences and events in the past&#8230;</p>
<p>Baseline is: all must be prepared, planned, negotiated and arranged according to prior agreement and budget limits and quite simply at their fingertips! No worries for your customer, not even a thought!</p>
<p>Even go a little extra mile if needed&#8230; I do that each day :)</p>

Cars and Trucks Images
<p>Before publishing this article, I checked &#8220;Cars and Trucks Images&#8221; to capture what is currently seen there &#8211; right now at 11:55 am:</p>

<p>Why?</p>
<p>People react more to images &#8211; visuals &#8211; than to text. While our original content remains the main issue in terms of keywords and especially tags, Google picks up our photos and pictures as well as you see on the above screenshot.</p>
<p>As my regular routine test, I will see where my Cars and Trucks Image will land in terms of ranking &#8211; and how fast &#8211; after I publish right now, at 12:30 pm!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always an interesting exercise&#8230; so above we have the &#8216;before&#8217; image and let&#8217;s see how it looks &#8216;after&#8217; the publication of this article!</p>

Building an online Publication is also building a new Brand, the Brand being the name of the Online News Paper. Using words such as Daily or Chronicle means that we have to compete with established brands, not to speak about the keyword Cars. Mixing it all together to <strong>Cars Daily Chronicle</strong> does not make life any easier. On the other hand, a new name is always a problem of Semantics when it comes to our expectations about successful Search Engine Marketing. Google may not give the same connotation to our words or to their combination.

Cars Daily Chronicle is an expression which is rather clear and we know what we can expect: it's about Cars, it's a publication and it is updated daily with new content.

After my little article from yesterday, I was wondering if we were picked up on the keywords so dear to Gene. Here is the result:

The new site built during the March Ycademy seminar looks already very professional and gives a feeling of a busy place stuffed with information, great pictures and an attractive looks and feel.

The monetization will follow, I am sure knowing Gene.

<p>Here we have loaded a quote and Larries Picture, which obviously can be replaced easily from the admin dashboard of the site. Or Larrie and sandra could load a rotator with real quotes … sort of ‘Larrie’s Daily Smart Stuff’.</p>

<p>I guess we are in for more positive surprises as time passes and as Larrie will add content to his publication; the Photo and Video Galleries are powerful tools as well. Google caught the category and indexed it. The same applies for all new categories loaded on the site.</p>
<p>The Photo search on Larrie Perkins features on top some pictures titled ‘Larrie Perkins’, in this case exclusively screenshots we have published in the past. Correct tagging of pictures allows us to grab additional space on Google. The same applies to videos or other media such as podcasts we can attach to our posts.</p>

<p>As we will continue to monitor the behavior of Larrie’s new site on Google, we will be able to draw conclusions about the performance of our scripts and measure the impact compared to earlier versions of Semiomantics.Â </p>

<p>We expect that this new Semiomantics Script will perform better than the previous XO base for two reasons: we target wider with the same efficiency as on narrow targeting and we have a much more attractive surface which is expected to result in a higher conversion rate from visitors to readers and from readers to loyal readers.</p>
<p>From a Publishing point of view, the whole site as it is right now, has no widgetized content and is thus readable by Search Engine bots, including the few sample ads we have placed. In addition to this, there are 12 pre-configured locations on the pages where any type of widget can be placed, be it for Google Ads or other commercial or non commercial content, feeds or media. We have not yet used any of such widgets.</p>
