Houseboats on Knysna Lagoon and Kowie River
The weather this time of the year is gorgeous. There are still some really hot days, but its cooling off, and floating around on your own houseboat on the Knysna lagoon or the Kowie River is such a pleasure now.
Knysna Fishing Report
The fishing has been excellent with the recent cloudy and drizzly weather in both Port Alfred and Knysna, and the good catches look set to continue, says Myburgh of Breezers. Kob and Steenbras are coming out in the lagoon, and there have been some great catches at the Horseshoe.
Surf and Deep Sea Fishing in port Alfred looks Promising
In Port Alfred surf fishing has been active, and deep sea as well. Our man on the spot, Dave Drennan, says that on hot days it’s a good idea to go up the Kowie River and look for cool, shady spots. There the big ones lurk….
