Zoutpan Struishuis Guest Farm creates the perfect environment for any Woman’s Day. It is time to slow down ourselves from all our toles and responsibilities. We gather to sip some tea, drink some exquisite punch to quench the thirst and stimulate our palates with exquisite and interesting tastes. It usually ends up in sharing recipes as well.
Usually we have a topic to explore. The participants have lots of opportunities to laugh together and share their thoughts on the relevant topics, such as affirming each other. The group are being guided through carefully selected topics and activities. All of this happens in a safe and caring environment with a good measure of fun, laughter and reflection.
At a last gathering, we were all reminded by our friends of our value by being decorated by words describing our attributes. It was good fun to be labelled – physically, this time in a positive way.
Other activities included creative expression through different mediums. We painted a picture under the spell of beautiful music; we lost our self and our perfectionism and found the artist within. We learned to let go of our perfect picture, by passing it on to our next friend to finish. A great lesson in letting go as well as trusting that together we can create so much more!
At the moment we are explaining the importance of a vision in our lives. Each experience is rounded off by integrating the newly found insights through movement with wonderful music that really lifts our energy levels to prepare us to face our lives again.
We leave these sessions as empowered women, ready to make a difference in our respective worlds.
