UCT Dance 2010 at Monkey Valley Resort
UCT Dance 2010 chose Monkey Valley Resort – with its prestigious Thorfynn’s Restaurant – as Best Cape Town Event Venue for the annual highlight for BCom Students.
The big “high heels & black tie” party for over 200 people was entirely organised by a student committee headed by Sven Stromnes, who did – according to everybody – an incredible job!

UCT Dance 2010 at Monkey Valley Resort
The UCT Dance 2010 at Monkey Valley Resort took place at the same time as our monthly Ycademy Seminar – so as I am the host, the only time I could sneak off for about 40 minutes was during my dinner break… enough time to shoot some atmospheric pictures – some of which you see here and more will be posted as my time allows it – but with all the colors, lights, shadows, and beautiful girls I would have loved to have more time on my hands.
As you see, despite the difficult light conditions with so many different light sources, these quick shots will have memories come back – and happy ones I am sure as the ambience was absolutely great!

Monkey Valley Resort Conference Venue
“Everyone had the experience of a lifetime at Monkey Valley Resort” raved Sven Stromnes – head of the Student Committee who organized the annual UCT Dance 2010 Cape Town Event for 200 BCom students and who had raised the necessary budget to finance this “Night of the Stars”.
Certainly, such initiative and passion leaves clues for a very successful young business man in the South African arena very soon!
“We are already looking forward to next year!” he said, adding that “…it will be difficult to convince the students to use any other Conference Venue – Monkey Valley Resort with its absolutely excellent Thorfynn’s Restaurant headed by “Darren Byrne Everywhere” and wonderful staff are simply the best!”
Customer Satisfaction
“It’s all about Customer Satisfaction” says Darren Byrne, “…what we want is a happy customer who enjoys himself and somehow becomes part of the extended global Monkey Valley Resort family.”
As it seems, the family just grew by another 200+ members!
Imagine how big it will be by Christmas 2010!
