E-Tourism Africa Summit 2011
Just in time for the E-Tourism Africa Summit 2011 that is opening its doors for a 2 day Media & Online Marketing Conference for the South African Travel Industry in Cape Town next week, Monkey Valley Resort is reviewing its rather neglected online presence and the urgent need for a new website and blog that is search engine efficient, attractive, user-friendly and corresponds to the Semiomantics Web Design created for the beautiful Monkey Valley Resort Showcase HERE.
E-Tourism Africa Summit 2011
The E-Tourism Africa Summit 2011 will also take a close look at South Africa’s position within the global online marketing environment, especially after the major collapse for many disappointed players in especially the hotel, B & B and other accommodation industry following the FIFA Soccer World Cup 2010. What was so eagerly anticipated as an absolute income high with millions of tourists expected from Africa and especially from overseas may have brought South Africa and the talented Rainbow nation in general into the international limelight and it certainly filled the pockets of some selected few… but it sadly also caused the worst year ever for many players in the South African Tourism Industry.
However, we believe in “Ubuntu” and it’s always good to reflect on our strengths and weaknesses, work together, support each other and believe in ourselves – so next week’s eTourism Summit may be just that for Africa and Africans as a whole: getting together, working together and knowing that there’s space for everybody – but certainly our strength lies within our unity and willingness to learn, cooperate and share.
With years of Online Marketing behind us and the new YORGOO Marketing Network under development, we know all too well that there is no better, faster and more efficient way than using the Internet for this purpose. Whoever hasn’t grasped that yet and wants to stay in business, better wake up and attend this eTourism Conference (15 and 16 September 2011).
I’m looking forward to this South African Media Event and will report back.
